I am a passionate and aspiring Neuroengineer with a strong interest in studying human cognition through neuroprosthetics and neuromodulation. I specifically hope to pursue research that focuses on leveraging invasive neural recordings and deep-brain stimulation (DBS) in conjunction with virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) tasks in naturalistic environments.During my time as a Bioengineering student and researcher at UCLA, I have gained extensive experience in EEG-based Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and proficiently worked with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, SolidWorks, and Arduino. I have also demonstrated my dedication to clinical research by serving as a coordinator for a TMS memory trial targeting older adults with mild cognitive impairment. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to contribute to VR trials for patients in the epilepsy-monitoring unit (EMU) and patients with Responsive Neurostimulation (RNS) devices.I am grateful for the invaluable experiences I have had, working alongside esteemed professors and engaging in groundbreaking human research. Now, I am excited to pursue my Master's degree in Bioengineering at UPenn, where I aim to enhance my research skills and deepen my understanding of neuroscience and engineering principles. Ultimately, my goal is to pursue an MD/PhD to bridge my clinical and engineering expertise and emerge as a leader in this field.I welcome connections and am enthusiastic about exploring collaboration opportunities.
