I had a good understanding of the golden nectars as I had already been giving talks on wines in the early 1970's and I saw cognacs and brandies as the next step.It takes many years to gain the respect of the Cognacaise but after a couple of decades we can now talk with them on level terms. We had to be able to offer something different, vintages and age statements was the way forward and with our many friends in Cognac we have been able to source some of the most beautiful brandies in the world. We introduced Hermitage about 7-8 years ago, initially for the Russian markets but the brand soon became well known for it's many different fine cognacs. Hermitage Cognacs can now be found in luxury hotels, on the internet and in countries as far away as China and Russia. A new name will also appear in some other Asian markets known as Siecle d'Or. It has been my dream to be able to share my experiences of fine brandies with others and we have now won many awards to prove their greatness. Show less

Our logo is today recognised as a symbol of the company and hopefully of the very high quality we endeavour to apply to all our products and services. Looking closely at the design of the logo one can see a cognac still head on an oak barrel, signified by an oak tree. The two Angels represent the Angel of Paradis, the cellar where all the finest cognacs are stored and the Angels Share, a synonym of the alcohohic vapour that escapes from the cellars in Cognac. The Latin Adhuc hic Hesterna means, 'that of yesterday is here today'. Brandyclassics is today still the trading name of Hermitage Cognacs. Show less
