I'm responsible for all GMSL’s software development and IT infrastructure. We have grown from a team of 5 when I started to currently a team of 30 people. In the early days I helped the team convert a number of project solutions into successful off-the-shelf products. This included leading £1m+ implementation projects for enterprise customers that enhanced the profile of our products in the industry. I also introduced agile XP practices and principles to the team, and helped persuade enterprise customers who were more used to waterfall development and fixed price contracts to switch to an agile approach, with great success.

Jointly responsible for development of GMSL’s gas software products. Helped transform an inexperienced software team by developing new roles, structures and processes to increase the team’s effectiveness.

Lead developer on GMSL’s EuroRunner product.

Developer on various applications

Developed intranet and internet applications.

Developed enterprise-wide applications as part of deregulation of the retail energy markets.

Joined Logica R&D unit in Cambridge as a graduate. Carried out a study of FX rates using neural networks for a financial client. The R&D unit was then disbanded. Held roles of developer, lead developer and team leader on varied projects and clients.
