Overseeing the despatch department Couriers etc. Dealing any Export orders (I have experience within the shipping industry) Dealing with Couriers & Haulage companies. Managing the Service maintenance and MOT schedule for the companies commercial vehicles.During this period I managed the entire move of the companies stock from 2 separate locations to a new operating centre where I set up the warehouse that is now our current warehouse and business HQ.

Looking after day to day running of a busy Mail Order Clothing company and it's call Centre and Packing and warehouse staff totalling 14 people along with three retail outlets. Pre production planning for new lines of clothing, Dealing with a third party out of hours call centre, Stock Control, Implementing cost saving measures with packaging and materials, Overseeing Stock Control and Ensuring that out stores were regularly and correctly stocked for trading, Making sure the warehouse area is stocked up with the current range of clothing for the packers to pick from, Processing the customer orders into Picking orders using the Elucid Mail Order system, Liasing with the company marketing department on stock levels and promotions, Opening the Premises for the staff first thing and Closing the premises last thing in the evening, the General upkeep and security of the premises and it's associated buildings.During this period I totally re-organised and racked the companies warehouse to double the stock holding area. Upon the takeover of this company I organised and managed the entire move of this company and its entire stock from Kent to Newcastle Tyne & Wear, On arrival at the new company in Tyne and Wear. I organised and set up the warehouse and trained staff in both the Warehouse and the company call centre on our products over a two month period.

Gatwick

Dealing with daily Imports and Exports to and from Gibraltar, Organising customs paperwork / commodity codes for Exports. Dealing with daily groupage of Freight to Germany and the Netherlands. Collating daily Imports / Exports, Organising manifests and CMR's for Export. Overseeing a new 72 hour swap over of faulty goods for an oversea European computer company, Organising goods and producing paperwork for outgoing groupage road freight to Europe.

Managing the day to day running of a very busy Mail order despatch department of the UK's original and leading Mail Order Horticultural catalogue, Overseeing stock control of own manufactured product and also third party product. Processing orders from the company mail order catalogue and also handling high volume mail order from weekend off the page advertising activity. Stock control of product purchased and also of core product that was manufactured in house, Managing stock holdings, Weekly production planning for on site manufactured product from raw state to finished product,Implementing cost saving measures in various packing processes and packing proceedures. I also assisted our director at all of our high profile horticultural show gardens at RHS Chelsea, Hampton Court, Malvern and Tatton Park where we won many RHS Gold Medals.Promoted to Trade and Export Sales Manager dealing and developing business with a wide variety of Key customer accounts in the Garden centre & Mail order industry sectors across the UK and also Overseas customers throughout Europe, USA , Canada, New Zealand and Japan, I also worked on developing a separate department for dealing with the Landscape gardening sector, Building companies etc. Setting up and overseeing a sole distributor in Southern Ireland, Producing orders and invoicing customers using Sage Line 50. Designing a yearly catalogue and planning trade stands at various high profile shows including the NEC at Birmingham, Networking and building relationships with various societies and groups, Arranging advertising in various specialist media, Developing & Increasing B2B sales selling selected products into carefully selected Mail Order companies for resale. After a company take over I helped oversee the move of the companies entire stock to the new company's location where I spent two further months setting up and training staff in both Manufacturing and packing & despatch of goods for this busy Mail order company.

East Sussex

Managing a large and very busy warehouse for one of the first Fulfilment Mail Order houses in the UK. Holding stock for the all of the major Nestle brands, Van Den Bergh/ Unilever, Duracell, Gallagher brands along with many other smaller companies stock. Overseeing & Managing stock control. Managing all outgoing orders via Royal Mail (during busy periods of over 1000 parcels a day). Checking and managing stock rotation of dated foodstuffs, Keeping a very busy packing department of up to 25 staff running with stock and new orders, Dealing on a day to day basis with specific client requests. Liaising with various haulage companies for collections and deliveries of palletised loads.
