I lead a large team of scientists, engineers, and experts performing technical analysis and supply chain activities for 50 GW of wind, solar, energy storage, and hydrogen green fuels projects in all stages. Technology at Apex is broad, mulit-discipline technical support and strategic equipment procurement. We contribute with a with a focus on origination, siting, development and execution and includes resource assessment, energy prediction, and conceptual project design/layouts, Geographic Information Systems, data science analytics and applications, and major equipment procurement (wind turbines, solar PV modules and systems, energy storage systems of all durations, electrical power conversion systems, and water electrolysis hydrogen systems and other process equipment) and leading technical due diligence and independent engineering evaluations. My team works closely with development, power marketing, financing, construction, and asset management for clean energy projects. These hard and soft technology services are key components of the Apex Clean Energy mission to Accelerate the Shift to Clean Energy.

I led Asset Management and Technology at Apex Clean Energy (2 departments and an independent business service business line). Asset Management at Apex includes high quality and deeply customized commercial, financial, technical and operational expertise needed to manage risk and deliver performance for energy assets. Our team supports commercial and energy management including power marketing activities, and financing/re-financing, accounting, and compliance services to align stakeholders for a wide array of energy power buyers and project owners. I also run operational safety, site operations, remote monitoring, and technical optimization of energy production. These activities are closely linked to Technology at Apex which supports all stages of project technical support with a focus on origination, siting, and development and includes resource assessment, energy prediction, and conceptual project design/layouts, Geographic Information Systems, data science analytics and applications, and wind turbine and PV system evaluation and procurement to support technical diligence and execution for development, power marketing, and financing clean energy projects. These asset management, commercial, operations, and technology services are key components of the broad Apex Clean Energy platform and support turnkey capability to develop, construct, and operate clean energy projects for utility, corporate, and institutional customers.

I led a team of technical experts in project design, energy analytics, GIS, and resource evaluation which supports energy marketing/origination, development, financing, construction and operations for of a portfolio of renewable energy assets with an emphasis on de-risking and delivering investment grade renewable energy assets. I also execute commercial negotiations for OEM wind turbine supply and service contracts for the portfolio in close coordination with EPC/BOP and development execution.
