Working in the Purchasing Department I get involved with many areas of the business. Within a team of 4 we look after well over £100m of external spend. Working close with manangement as well as influences from Sweden and Volkswagen to achieve savings and set up new agreements which assist the network and internal stakeholders.I work primarily in two areas, Real Estate - Facilities Management and Service Operations. These two areas of the business offer a very wide and varied supplier base from workshop equipment and uniforms, to workshop services and commercial vehicles.I’ve recently been responsible for the tendering of Facilities Management Services, Staff Uniform and reviewing existing agreements and specifications relating to front line assistance vans. This included the support from leasing companies, specification of the vans and liaising with stakeholders to establish the preferred racking design and layout.In my current role, as well as the above, I have also worked on the following:Industrial Gasses, Column Lifts, Parts Washing Equipment, Floor Cleaners, Waste Management, Company Cars, Workshop Doors, HVAC, Workshop Consumables, Hand Tools, Brake Testers, Safety Boots, Defibrillators, Telematics, Measured Surveys, Fork Lift Trucks, Office Refurbishment, Hydraulic Hose Repairs, Hand Dryers, plus many more.

Stock Controller for local assortment. This included, Trailer Parts, Tail Lift, Consumables and promotional items to name a few. I was also invovled with system improvements to ensure accurate stocks could be held as well as improvements for customer interaction via company's intranet. Whilst in this role I also developed a local clothing and promotional items range for the brand which was sold on a national level.
