Welder/Fabricator: Reported to the Manufacturing Supervisor, Responsible for all aspects of welding and fabrication duties. • Reduced welding production time/cost’s over a yearly span. • Served as Lead Foreman during Flexco’s first-ever install of our Skirting system.• Worked closely with Design Engineers to improve fabrication and welding processes.• Printed and inventoried parts per SolidWorks CAD model.• Fabricated components using SolidWorks to .06 to .125 mm tolerances.• Performed gas metal arc welding (GMAW) on ASTM-A36, ASTM-A992, ASTM-A123, SAE-304 stainless, ½” to 8” SCH 40 to 80 pipe. • Inspected every weld for conformance to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and stamped each weld with CWI code/number.• Operated forklifts, overhead cranes and jib cranes. • Assembled and shipped completed jobs.• Performed shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) with 6010, 6013, 7018 electrodes during infield service/repair/install.• Welded A36/SAE-304/aluminum tradeshow pieces utilizing GMAW.• Performed oxy-fuel / plasma cutting.• Operated/utilized band saws and drill presses. • Worked closely with new applicants/employees to improve their welding technique and quality.
