Mechanical Specialist
CurrentAnalyze and validate the mechanical design from the Design-Build General contractor. Evaluate the equipment suppliers' shop drawings according to the major plant design. Equipment specifications approval. Check Process and Utilities Flow Diagrams and analyze Process mechanical system, HVAC, process piping, and main electrical specification. Estimate costs and timeline.Supervision and inspection of equipment production and acceptance tests. Management of handover process between Client and General Contractor. Ensure equipment specifications are compliant with Nutreco standards and design best practices. Consult field operations during construction and commissioning. Inspect, validate, and supervise Factory Acceptance Test.Propose improvements as a part of the works routine. Participate in project design meetings, including internal and external clients. Control and monitor design progress, validating measurements and invoices. Support the project changes management process (subcontractor claims, change requests, claims, and dispute resolution). Provide input in the tender process, including commercial review of contracts, risk assessment, and project control plans development as required.Control all project documents, such as engineering, financial, minutes of meetings, at SharePoint related to design works. Control the access to confidential documents on Frankie SharePoint. Verify Issued for Construction drawings status (Submitted, In progress, Approved with Comments, Approved, Rejected, or Canceled). Monitor and Control all submittals required on projects specifications.
