Dave is the Founder and CEO of Urby, an innovator in hospitality-focused residential real estate with a community of 4,000 residents and growing. After launching in 2016 in NYC, Dave has grown Urby into one of the fastest growing real estate companies with projects across the country in urban centers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, DC, Florida, and Pennsylvania, among others. Urby is currently partnered with Brookfield Properties to expand Urby’s unique take on apartment living to new neighborhoods across the country. Dave’s decades of experience in real estate have focused on hospitality and residential projects that highlight stunning design and exciting social spaces. Notable projects include Standard East Village, Chiltern Firehouse, Pod Hotel in Williamsburg, 10 Bond, W Hotel in Hoboken, and, opening soon, the legendary Chelsea Hotel. Dave's personal interest in technology and futurism, especially in biotech and cryptocurrency, has led to his involvement as the Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees for Liberty Science Center; as a board member for several startups including Habitas, AquaSpark, and Prior Travel; and as an early round investor in Galaxy Digital, Peloton, NYDIG, ATAI Life Sciences, Cambrian Biopharma, and Commonwealth Fusion Systems. Dave was a first team all-Ivy wrestler, and continues to support the sport, serving on the Board of Trustees for Beat the Streets Wrestling and was the Olympic Team Leader for USA Wrestling.
