A highly motivated Avionics engineering supervisor who possesses a positive and enthusiastic character. Extensive technical knowledge, coupled with a strong leadership and management acumen of which I have acquired and continue to build on during a successful career in the Royal Navy. Experienced and highly motivated working in a safety critical aerospace environment, I have a proven track record of producing work to the highest standards. I have operated within both large and small teams ensuring multiple tasks are concurrently progressed and managed to the correct standards in diverse and difficult conditions whilst dynamically prioritising workloads to ensure aircraft availability and serviceability are achieved as a matter of urgency when required. It is imperative to me that whilst I lead these teams, I ensure that those under my command and direction follow correct protocol and procedure whilst maintaining maximum safety standards.I have a proven ability in fault diagnosis in systems such as Automatic Flying Controls, Radar (most notably the Thales-built Searchwater 2000 system), communications, gas turbines and weapons systems to name just a few. Training Coordinator
I am responsible for the Engineering Training Section of 820 NAS. My primary roles are to ensure that the Squadron has suitably qualified and educated personnel to meet the rigourous demands of the Squadron programme. Also included in this role is the development of trainees; that is inclusive of brand new engineers in their second phase of training, teaching and developing newly promoted supervisors, including the coordinating and sitting their professional career boards which will allow them to gain their Squadron authorisations.Additionally, in my Avionics trade, I am the Weapon Loading point of contact and the unit Precision Terming Processes coordinator.
