David Bartram has led on SEND in London schools for over 15 years. He works with several Multi-Academy Trusts as their SEND advisor and provides support to a range of teaching school alliances and local authorities on the strategic development of SEND provision. David is co-author of the SEND Review Guide, a national peer-review framework funded by the Department for Education that has been downloaded by over 4000 schools. In May 2018 he edited Great Expectations, leading an effective SEND strategy in school, a collection of essays from leading SEND specialists, published by John Catt Educational. David was Director of SEND for the London Leadership Strategy, has been an advisor to the Mayor of London’s education team and is a consultant to the British Council. As part of this work he has supported the development of SEND policy in a number of countries including Ethiopia, Seychelles, Thailand and Malaysia. David is a trustee of the KPMG Foundation, which supports projects that unlock the potential and enhance the social mobility of the most deprived children and young people in the UK. He is also an expert advisor to the Timpson Review on school exclusions. David has spoken at a number of SEND conferences including the Academies Show, the TES SEN Show and international conferences in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Germany, India, Poland and South Africa.David was awarded an OBE for Services to Education in the 2016 New Year's Honours list.david@prescienteducation.co.uk@davidbartram_
