The Commonwealth Environmental Water Office (the Office) supports the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder, who is responsible for managing Commonwealth environmental water to protect and improve the health of rivers, floodplains and wetlands within the Murray-Darling Basin. The Office works with the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder to achieve environmental outcomes under the framework of the Water Act 2007 and the Basin Plan 2012. The Office works closely with other government agencies, non-government organisations, First Nations, community and industry groups, local landholders and scientists to plan and manage the delivery of environmental water

The OneSKY Australia Program is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of Australia’s next generation air traffic management services including the future civil-military air traffic management system (CMATS).As the Governance & Reporting Lead, working as part of a joint team combining Airservices and Department of Defence personnel, I am responsible for reporting program performance and developing and maintaining an integrated program governance approach in accordance with project, program and portfolio management compliance frameworks.I provide assistance with Program Controls and Assurance within the OneSKY Program Management Office in strategy development, internal alignment and cross-functional interaction and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, whilst maintaining oversight of OneSKY Program governance activities.

I was accountable for the delivery of Airservices’ Australian Aid funded PNG MoU capacity building program. The program was designed to assist NiuSky Pacific Limited (NSPL) to build staff capability and to modernise their ATM infrastructure. In this role I, • developed prioritised strategic work plans with senior officials from NSPL and the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development and Communications that were aligned with the PNG/Australia Aid partnership agenda to “improve transport safety in the region” • facilitated Airservices stakeholder engagements associated with the program and managing the financials, resourcing, reporting and governance• worked with NSPL to lead the scoping, planning and implementation of the capacity building program • providing technical and professional expertise through resource management deployments during the design, acquisition and implementation phases of the ATM modernisation. Achievements: • led the planning and delivery of a complex technical work program to enhance ATM, technical, engineering and safety capability, tailored activities to ensure alignment strategic priorities• I managed the provision of $3.8m budget between 2013-16 and successfully obtained $2m in funding for next phase 2017-19• Built and maintained effective business relationships between PNG and Australian senior government officials and stakeholders• enhanced the department’s financial management, international travel, governance processes and guidelines as part of continuous improvement practices • managed the delivery of emergency restoration works and health checks on aviation communication, navigational and surveillance systems in PNG.
