As State Buyer was responsible for purchasing a large volume of floral stock each week, that met strict quality and freshness specifications. Negotiated with 50 different suppliers, growers, farmers, and other agents to ensure stock costs were within budgeted cost parameters. Ensured all inbound and outbound good of 250 movements a week were inspected and reconciled on a daily basis. Maintained efficient controls of First In First Out principles to deliver profitable inventory targets and margins.

Lead large teams to ensure budgets were met in sales, waste, and payroll on an annual basis and that all policies and procedures were followed in all departments. Facilitated weekly meetings with all department managers to evaluate current situation and set sales and profit for the week. Implemented strategic directions for the store as required. Attended monthly meetings with regional manager to ensure the business was on track and on budget. Ensured that KPI'S in workplace safety, customer service, and all budgeted activities were met. Identify and address employee performance gaps, operational standards and implement solutions to achieve required performance metrics. Developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals by identifying and understanding issues, problems and opportunities.
