The way most hospitals work how, this role is the primary patient contact for health and wellbeing needs. Whether it’s a change in condition (measured by general clinical observations) or reporting discomfort, this then would be passed on to the relevant clinician.Assisting patients with their general needs including daily routine such as washing, dressing and toileting if required.On the bank worked in all types of wards from general care of the elderly, to the Emergency Department (ED / A&E), to Psychiatric Units, to Orthopaedic wards and to Outpatient Clinics.One of the rising circumstances in hospitals is the increase in dementia and working with a lot of patients suffering this, became incredibly adept at helping them return to baseline (from the initial stay in hospital to where they have declined at home).Working closely with a multi-professional and skilled section of clinicians from a broad range of backgrounds, religious, socioeconomic, ethnic etc.We had everyone in the trust I worked in.
