6/2005 to 4/2012, QinetiQ – CBM Data Warehouse, Huntsville, ALProvided software engineering for the Army’s Aviation Condition Based Maintenance Data Warehouse. (Oracle 10 and 11g).Develop Extract Transform Load (ETL) software for the data warehouse. Software written in Java, JDBC, PL/SQL, C Shell, SQL*Loader to ETL the source data contained in database tables, XML and CSV files into varying layers of the data warehouse. . Software was written to allow for parallel processing.Designed and developed a Data Warehouse Adapter for the Army’s Software Engineering Directorate’s(SED) Proof of Enablers (POE) effort. The Java adapter is a listener to the POE message broker. It receives requests and sends responses via XML. Data contained within the XML messages are embedded (MIMOSA) XML. MIMOSA, Machine Information Management Open Systems Alliance, is a non-profit trade association, which develops and encourages adoption of open information standards for Operations and Maintenance.Developed the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and the Software Development Plan (SDP). Developed the Software Standard to Gold Standard validation program to compare the software loaded on an aircraft (contained in XML files) against a selected standard (contained in an Excel file). This software package was written in C# and .NET and produces the comparison in an Excel spreadsheet.Analyzed Sapphire data and mapped pertinent data to the Universal Data Model for the Proof of Principle. Task includes porting assembly and C code from the 80C186 processor to a 80386; interfacing to the Signal Processor Vehicle Interface (SPVI) processor via Dual Port RAM instead of hardware signals; adding enhanced maneuvers. Duties also includes supporting monthly Technical Interchange Meetings with the SPVI developer (Microsystems,Inc.) and the system integrator (Tracor).

2/94 to 7/96, Space Station AlphaLead Engineer for the planning and development of a command script executor for the Payload Software Integration and Verification project. Responsible for the task from command language definition through implementation. Lex and yacc, UNIX programming tools, were used in the development of the parser section of the executor.C development for the simulation of the station's Payload Executive Software. Lead for the software module responsible for the processing of station service requests; the routing and transmission of commands and station data to the payloads; and the handling of payload science and health and status data. Used 1553 bus analyzer to simulate remote terminal for test purposes.Software lead for the Central Unit of the Active Rack Isolation System (ARIS) Risk Mitigation Flight Experiment on Space Hab. Basic design of the Central Unit consists of two 486 Intel processors and a 1553 Bus. Implemented command and batch processors; shared memory interface of the two processors; and subset of the ARIS controller interface. Software development was in C.5/93 to 2/94, Options Assessment BM/C3Ada development for Options Assessment (OA) contract, which was a Proof-of-Principle contract for the software development process for a BMC3 (Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communication) system. Developed command parser and segments of the user interface using Motif/Ada X Windows and ICS's Builder Xcessory (a Motif design tool).

Software Requirements Specification (SRS) book boss (technical lead) for simulations for the Standard Data Processor 1 CSCI. Provided technical leadership to other task members, which included establishing conventions and standards. Collaborated with several customer organizations to gain assistance with malfunctioning software tools during critical time of document production. Received TRW Winner's Award (by request of the customer) for significant contribution to Space Station Freedom Simulation Task.

Distributed Computer Design SystemsAutomated document generation of DoD STD 2167A documents (SSS, SSDD, SRS, SDD) for DCDS. Managed the configuration of the DCDS product software. Supported system and software requirements, design, and test methodologies of the DCDS product. In addition, assisted in incorporating the Spiral Model approach to software development.
