Responsible for the training and direction of a team of kitting technicians in an ISO 13485 environment. Responsibilities included large scale solution and reagent preparation, dispensing of buffers, aliquoting, and kit assembly. Managing and completing jobs in Epicore.

Inspection of research and diagnostic specific materials in a manufacturing facility, as well as mixing buffers and reagents, assembling kits, aliquoting, and packaging materials for shipment.

Performed DNA extraction for qPCR analysis of tick samples received from local hospitals to detect the presence of Borrellia burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme disease. Worked to establish a viable in vitro population of deer ticks for use in future experimentation. Responsibilities included fabrication of artificial membranes, preparation of blood for feeding, and collection of ticks in the field.
