This is performed together with my main role as the equipment analyst performing financial analysis and reporting for all equipment machinery (New & Used Remarketing departments) which is invariably within range of $1BN sales and includes lead testing of SAP development & programming impacting these departments. Komatsu provides high quality and technologically savvy machinery spanning some 240 models of excavators, trucks and wheel loaders, to satisfy any and all requirements for earthmoving within the Mining, Construction and Utility industries. Attesting to this premise, Komatsu ranks 2nd for unit sales of equipment and machinery across these respective industry sectors in Australia. Komatu’s top customers include Rio Tinto, BHP, Downer EDI, Brooks Hire.Re-design Forecast [macro-based] templates following the 2010 corporate restructureKomatsu undertook a corporate restructure in 2010 to separate key operating and back office activities between Manufacturing (machines received from OEMs, assembly, remanufacturing) and Distribution (sale, remarketing, rental). Following this, my immediate objective was to redesign the regional Forecast EBM templates to reflect the new structures and provide an effective consolidation that emulates the SAP BPC consolidation process for Actual financial results. On an annual basis, slight amendments are required to the forecast templates to align with changes in business requirements. The excel based templates, officially the process by which forecasts are produced, I am current undertaking to replace this method with forecasting results through ECC, to enable the forecasting at the materials/models (COPA) and accounts (ECC FI) levels Show less
