With over 140 years of experience, we provide clients with a full spectrum of maritime law in areas of ship finance, corporate matters, admiralty, drying shipping, international trade & commodities, insurance & reinsurance, energy, and aviation, in both contentious and non-contentious areas.I am qualified as a solicitor both in England & Wales, and Hong Kong, and have spent virtually all my professional life in Hong Kong where I have acquired extensive ship finance experience in most jurisdictions in Asia. My expertise is in leasing, shipbuilding, international ship sale and purchase. In addition, I also have a wide experience of syndicated bank lending, debt restructuring and security enforcement throughout Asia with reference to ship finance. I also handle ship sale and purchase and leasing through to corporate law, including acquisitions and listings. My corporate expertise relates particularly to transactions involving ships and shipping operations and management. I am also a Notary Public and sit on the council of the Hong Kong Society of Notaries.On a personal note, I have been married to Carmen Fernandez, a Filipina, for nearly 20 years. We have three sons, Nicholas and Henry who are both at the same school in England. Our youngest is William who is still at school in Hong Kong. We have homes in Hong Kong, Manila and London.
