My parents have been career educators for decades. All five of my older brothers have played volleyball at various competitive levels. My earliest memories are in classrooms and gymnasiums with my family. I blended the teaching and athletics together to become a college volleyball coach. My senior year of undergrad, I had a friend reach out about becoming a graduate assistant coach at Georgia Southern University to help coach the team and end my two years there with a free masters degree. I had a promotion for a full-time position at Wegmans Food Markets ready for me upon graduation after completing their internship program, but a free masters was hard to pass up. I was hooked after our first team practice.I have enjoyed several positions throughout my career working with student-athletes of all ages from all over the world. My greatest joy in any of these positions is building such great relationships with student-athletes throughout their career that we stay in touch after graduation. I am always thinking about how to improve their character, their game, and draw out every ounce of potential within them. Teaching is an inherent gift of mine thanks to my family. What sustains me day-to-day are the "ah-ha!" teaching moments in the gym where my players really grasp a concept and run away with it. The greatest compliment I have received from my student-athletes is that I remind them of why they love volleyball. It is my hope that I continue to inspire them to be all they can be as they go through the rigors of college athletics and beyond.Outside of work, I'll be reading investment books, working out, and spending time with my big family.
