I lead the Knights vision to create the greatest team in professional services and to build our one team culture throughout the UK.After qualifying as a solicitor in 1990, I became managing partner of a traditional partnership in 1995 until 2004 when I left law to start a private equity fund.In 2012 when the legal sector deregulated I combined my experiences of law firm management and investor by acquiring Knights to become the first commercial law firm to raise external private equity investment.After six years of growth Knights listed on AIM in June 2018.I have a passion for nurturing our team and spend time either recruiting professionals who want to be part of our culture or helping them integrate and change from a silo mentality to be part of one team.I am a committed coach and mentor for the Knights professionals and aim to create the right environment and academy for people to learn and excel by playing to their strengths and be part of one business community.Clients and colleagues together are now driving the change in the way professional services are delivered and the partnership structure is, in my view, well out of date as a business model.At Knights we have implemented a typical owner managed business structure meaning we have sufficient capital and a management structure to make commercial decisions quickly in the interests of our people and business as a whole.We focus on providing clients with local access to city quality expertise in a sustainable, transparent and efficient business with a commercial operating structure with which they are familiar.
