Grandiosely and ambitiously seeking to make the world a better place. That’s the one thread linking a decade serving in the Armed Forces and almost thirty years in ordained ministry, including nine in prison chaplaincy. I have a passion to see more human beings flourish despite the reality of a world within which there is widespread injustice and oppression that diminishes people. I am fascinated by the ‘lived experience’ of people and love listening for what I can learn from their stories. This has kindled a research interest in ethnography and life history forms of enquiry. We are both part of the problems we encounter and part of the solutions. I believe reflective engagement with the world, others and self fosters and enhances practices that promote human flourishing in organisations, leading to workplaces that are more humane and productive.
