Prior to that David ran his own consulting firm (St Davids Rd Advisory) and spent 12 years at CFS GAM. David led the development of MDUF (the Member’s Default Utility Function), was a co-founder of Cuffelinks, and developed and taught the hedge funds elective at Macquarie University’s Applied Finance Centre.

An active member of the Executive team, and in frequent communication with the Board and the broader business. Direct responsibility for development of team, capability, investment operations and processes as the business moved from a consultant-led approach to an internally-led model. The team internalised asset allocation and implemented through fund managers. A TPA-style (total portfolio approach) was adopted including the reconfiguration of the firm’s investment operating structure to allow greater flexibility and a more precise portfolio construction. Established and oversaw the retirement solutions function which conceptually developed a range of advanced product and retirement solutions.
