The HR Department was created to provide employment compliance services to SMEs and secondly to provide on-site HR solutions to larger corporates. David Bell, who qualified as a solicitor in 1993,identified an opportunity to develop an online service to start up companies and business owners using the existing software developed by the company. The company is based in Dublin, but operates on a nationwide basis and online, and supports employers in Ireland by helping them become compliant with over 40 pieces of employment legislation. The company has 6 main services: HR audits Drafting employment contracts and staff handbooks for clients;Provide Annual support on minor queries and keeping the handbook and contracts updated;Providing legal advice to employers and employees;Carrying out/assisting clients with investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures, hearing appeals;Outsourced/Contracted HR services/Training.

Since October 2010 I have been acting as the ASR Regulatory Contact for DePuy Orthopaedics and my duties involve:Liaising with the relevant bodies assigned to the ASR including the HSE Incident Management Team and the DePuy International Recall Team. This involves attending meetings, telephone conference calls etc, with the primary focus of updating the Irish Market as it relates to the ASR recall. b. Setting up and managing a database of all recalled patients with a unique ID code, liaising with the HCP’s and hospitals to ensure all relevant patients are issued a unique code. c. Managing the day to day queries from stakeholders and administering the Recall process such as Patient Advocates, Hospital Administrators, HSE Personnel and Independent Hospital Association of Ireland (IHAI). d. Provide a regular report to a designated point of contact in DePuy Orthopadics.

Revised organisational structure of various subsidiary businesses, advising and assisting the board of directors in implementing changes to the structure of the company .Dealt with employees and their representatives where organisational structures were implemented.Provided Administrative and Legal support across a wide range of company secretarial and legal issues to all of the businesses in the Group.Provided advice to the Group on all contractual issues affecting the Group in all geographic operational locations;Provided operational company management across all functional disciplines with advice on a wide range of commercial and other contractual issues;Liased with and instructing or arranged instructions to the Group’s external legal advisors on all relevant matters;Reviewed regularly the contracts being offered by the operating companies to customers, suppliers, employees and other parties to ensure compliance with Greencore corporate governance and statutory requirements;
