Improved ink mix process and significantly increased prints per kg for silver/silver chloride ink. Addition of masking to UV drier to reduce substrate temperature effect on ink solvent release approximate throughput increase of 25%. (FMEA`S completed and validation of all improvements in accordance with ISO13485).• Completion of a goal to improve supply of Silver/Silver Chloride Ink for manufacture of electrodes used for INRatio product. Created test methods for key process inputs providing data for vendor reports to drive investigations and improvement goals resulting in significant increase in prints per Kg annual savings of £230k.Work with three alternative ink suppliers to develop a second source Silver/Silver Chloride Ink. After 6 months one supplier`s ink met all ATL CTQ`s.• Trouble shooting to resolve SCAR failure to achieve process CTQ`s. Silver ink thickness CTQ May 2013 which shut down the process.Implemented a data collection plan analysis of data identified route cause. Supply Chain, supplier Audits and contact for technical management of Ink, Screen, substrate suppliers.Product Support Engineering 2010-2012• Yield optimisation for Heart Check processes and standardisation . Focus on deposition.Tip registration procedure resulted in annualised savings of £129k.Support for PQ batches for Heart Check leading to CE marking in 2010. Generate and perform Gage R&R, support R&D to define manufacturing CTQ`s.Product Support Engineering 2007 – 2010• Validation of new processes for Heart Check product. Worked alongside Equipment Engineering to develop and optimise a reagent deposition system from URS to PQ, key outputs yield and deposition volume.Created test methods and validation documentation to support progress to product launch of first finger stick test for BNP. Support R&D with process optimisation.

Presenting on Process Improvement Projects. Process Engineer (Rotational Shift Cover), 2000 – 2003• On-shift engineer for circuit assembly responsible for process and quality. Worked as part of an engineering group involved with process transfers from/to Mitsubishi VCR plants in Japan and Malaysia.• Lead engineer for a team involved with integration of Iiyama monitor production process in to Livingston plant. Successfully integrated this manufacturing process for the site on time and supported ramp-up to control yield and volume. This was to stringent standards approved by Iiyama Japan.• Successfully achieved new product start-up, meeting ramp-up schedules and improving yields through analysis of defect data. Product Engineer, 1991 – 1997• Generated line distributions and headcount calculations.• Product support for VCR. Attended Product training at Mitsubishi design center Kyoto works Japan.• Provide product training for Engineering support team. In addition to Engineering training also successfully mentored technicians through SVQ certification.• Responsible for Annual New Product Introductions for consumer VCR final assembly and test area. Process Technician, 1985 – 1991• Analysis of defects trends to determine route cause. Defective components on the PCB or deck.• Prioritize VCR repair team for quick turn around to meet end of build returns.• Test and Inspection equipment calibration to maintain consistency of measurement.
