David is a pioneer in the Australian on-demand economy. As co-founder of Suppertime (re branded to Foodora), Jimmy Brings and more recently Milkrun - David has created three innovative companies that have transformed the Australian ultra-convenience landscape. David has always displayed an entrepreneurial spirit; his first venture, at age 9, was to set up a cold drinks stand outside the entrance of the Royal Easter Show. Undercutting the vendors in the Show he did a brisk trade until being shut down by the police. Not to be deterred David launched his first business in furniture import and retail before setting his sites on the booming online economy. After leading up the product team at RedBalloon, Australia's premier online gifting platform David set out on his own founding a number of businesses in the home delivery space.In the process of having his restaurant delivery business (Suppertime) acquired by Rocket Internet David has experienced growing a business 15x in the space of 6 months. In his role as COO David oversaw a rapid geographical expansion, a complete system migration, a rebrand to Foodora and grew a team from 30 to over 300.As co-CEO of Jimmy Brings David had full responsibility over the company's operation, website/app design and development, proprietary logistics system and team of drivers. In that role he oversaw 25x growth over 4 years (post Woolworths acquisition) to create Australia’s biggest on-demand alcohol player and one of Australia’s best loved brands. Whilst not at work David enjoys spending time with his family and going to the beach. David is passionate about cooking, politics and great design. David holds a MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is learning how to sing.
