Projects:Long-range Forecasting of Droughts in the United States: Gathered historical time series data related to droughts in the US and modeled the long-term national trends. Built a neural network to predict the drought conditions on a localized level.Measuring Economic Impact of Natural Disasters: Gathered, cleaned, and analyzed time series data for wages and unemployment to measure the economic impact of Hurricane Sandy on affected localities.Reddit NLP: Used the Reddit API to scrape comments from 2 different subreddits and used NLP to build a classification model to predict the subreddit of unseen posts.Ames Housing: Cleaned and organized data from 2006-2010 housing sales in Ames, IA and constructed a linear regression model to predict prices of houses at sale and to determine the most important factors influencing the value of a house.
