Head of strings studies and coordinator for the BMus degree programme at the department of Music and Performing Arts. I teach practical violin and viola modules, history and pedagogy of string instruments, and orchestration, in addition to supervising postgraduate research. In my role as programme coordinator, I mentor undergraduate students and manage the academic administration of the BMus degree.

As a violinist, I give regular solo performances in concert halls around South Africa. I am trained as a Classical violinist and am particularly interested in new music written for the instrument by young South African composers. As such, I regularly commission and debut works for violin.Passionate about chamber music, I co-founded the Gqebehra trio with double bassist Mariechen Meyer and violist Jan-Hendrik Harley in 2021. I frequently perform with, among others, the Amici quartet, pianist José Dias, and guitarist James Grace.
