Served as deputy chief of the ACS and FPU in the largest consular section in Europe, interpreting and applying U.S. laws and policies in a rapidly changing, uncertain, and stressful environment during the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity, and during Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the ensuing war in Eastern Ukraine.--Serve in leadership positions: Deputy supervisor for American Citizens Services (ACS) and the Fraud Prevention Unit (FPU), acting for periods as supervisor; Supervised and directed a team of 4-7 locally-engaged staff (LES) in developing work plans, balancing work loads, meeting deadlines, and ensuring timely production of products; Managed the ACS unit during much of the upheaval set in motion by Ukraine’s Euro-Maidan crisis and during the start of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.--Project design, planning, and implementation on complex projects: Led the design, planning, and implementation for a new process using data collection and analytics capabilities to monitor the activities and suspected human rights abuses of separatist armed groups in eastern Ukraine and to counter dis- and mis-information about the conflict; Created tools for use by officers with no legal background to effectively write highly technical and legal petitions concerning immigration cases, which have proved successful in revocation requests.

Developed and advanced the science and technology (S&T) relationship between the United States and Canada. Provided strategic analysis and guidance in S&T matters to the U.S. Ambassador to Canada and senior embassy staff.
