Served as an EOD section leader responsible for managing the training and employment of an EOD section as a worldwide deployable force capable of responding to and rendering safe the complete scope of explosive hazards from improvised explosive devices to Chemical, Biological, and nuclear hazards whether deploying from land or sea.Maintains accountability of over 500,000 dollars in EOD equipment to include robotics platforms, CBRNe equipment, and ordnance exploitation equipment.Developed comprehensive training programs ensuring that EOD technicians were trained for all critical response missions from improvised explosive devices to chemical and radiological hazards.Led the training of EOD sections through more than 30 high risk training exercises resulting in the sections having the skills and confidence necessary to respond to the full spectrum of explosive hazards.Mentored and trained more than 50 Marines by ensuring that they attended training courses required for promotion and career progression as well as EOD skill advancement.Utilized both classified and open-source intelligence sources to inform EOD technicians of future threats posed by new developments in explosive hazards such as suicide drones and hypersonic missiles.

As a qualified high-risk instructor, instructed more than 2,300 joint service and partner nation students during over 3,500 hours of practical and classroom instruction on air delivered explosive ordnance and render safe procedures ultimately resulting in the graduation of 2,000 EOD technicians.Implemented weekly mentorship sessions for 291 Marine EOD students materially contributing to their successful graduation from EOD school by helping them develop the necessary skills to work while under the threat of explosive hazards.Advised the command of the Navy led school on best practices to enhance student success and fulfill the school’s mission of graduating new EOD technicians.

Served in multiple roles as an EOD team robot operator, team leader, and section leader while in support of Marine Expeditionary Units deployed at sea as well as in the combat theaters of Iraq and Afghanistan.Led a small team of EOD technicians in more than 100 critical incident response missions that resulted in the rendering safe of more than 50 improvised explosive devices and the destruction of more than 10,000 pounds of explosive material.Worked with the United States Secret Service Very Important Persons Protection Support Activity to ensure the safety of dignitaries to include the President, Secretary of State, and Pope Francis during 11 separate missions over multiple states and the country of Turkmenistan.Led and trained an EOD section to enable their deployment to combat in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
