My name is Dave Billingsley; I am an adaptable, qualified, analytical Electrical Engineer/Service Controller, who is equally comfortable working as part of a team or on his own. Experienced supervisor of both electrical and mechanical personnel who maintain diverse and high value equipment used within automated warehousing environments. Conversant with current Health and Safety Regulations(inc management of Working at PPE), IEE Wiring Regulations and ISO 9001. Key achievements:• Managed and lead specialist teams to all areas of the UK and globally, often working under pressure and in extreme conditions. Constructing and commissioning airfield’s that enabled transport aircraft to fly directly into Helmand province. The impact of this achievement enabled critically injured personnel to be flown directly back to the UK for specialist medical treatment enhancing the survivability rate and the chance of recovery.• Responsible for providing necessary health and safety support within the field service work environment. For example, whilst leading a team who were tasked with replacing ageing drive belts and pulleys on 19 cranes, work permits had to be obtained. These included working at heights, hot works and lifting operations. On completion of the pre-requisite documents, the team were briefed of any residual risk on the site and PPE checked prior to commencement. Supervising the team, lifting operations and the tasks that required working at height so as to ensure relevant health and safety regulations were adhered throughout the task. After each task completion a full debrief was given to the Site Operations manager and the onsite Residential Engineering manager.• Responsible for coordinating the Health and Safety and engineering documentation associated with the maintenance process for the Field Service Department within the company. A challenging role which has required the use of high degree of communication skills both verbally and written, resulting in an improved customer understanding/relationship as well as enhanced relationship with internal departments due to having a single point of contact via myself. Resulting in an improved support structure for the Field Service engineers allowing them to concentrate on their tasks knowing that they can call upon myself for support for the more complex Health and Safety aspects associated with the job.
