About David Billy
Locally generated energy is a subject that interests me a lot on several points: local development, innovation (smart-grid, efficiency, quality, storage…), resources optimization, and geopolitical considerations in some areas of the world (energy independence). Economical consideration is a very important aspect as well to be able to become competitive without state subsidies in a close future. To have a positive impact at my level on sustainable development of local territories and emerging countries, and international environment makes me even more interested and motivated.I'm also very interested in citizen funding or energy plants as i'm sure this is a real potential for RES plants acceptability and a local developpement leverage (as a part of the benefits reminds locally). I’m convinced that my purchasing skills I acquired after my technical background give me added value: analysis, cost optimization, multi stakeholders and multi cultural project management, relationship with suppliers, negotiation, strategy, innovation, etc…For years I have strengthened my technical knowledge, but also risk analysis, creativity, technical intelligence, problem solving, product quality. I had to adapt several time to my environment: job change, use of several IT tools and help in their deployment (CAD 3D, ERP, reporting, audits, etc…). I regularly led actions under stress and emergency (supply chain stop, quality defaults, increase of production level, increase of goals…). I managed several cost reduction projects with our teams and our suppliers in France or abroad.I like as well to be a source of proposals. I developed good group working skills and active listening skills that I wish to share with a motivated group that is focused on energy transition.
