As a Train Maintainer at Transport for London, I apply my engineering skills and knowledge to ensure the safety and reliability of the Victoria Line fleet. I work with a team of technicians to perform heavy overhaul projects, inspecting, repairing, and testing various train systems and components, such as brakes, doors, HVAC, and electrical wiring. I follow the highest standards of quality, workmanship, and documentation, using the appropriate tools and equipment.Before joining TfL, I served as an Air Engineering Technician in the Royal Navy for five years, where I gained valuable experience in maintaining F-35B aircraft, both on land and at sea. I conducted routine and corrective maintenance, fault diagnostics, system checks, and functional tests on the jet engines, avionics, hydraulics, and pressurised gasses. I also achieved several authorisations and qualifications, such as NVQ City & Guilds Level 2 Diplomas in Aeronautical Engineering and Military Air Engineering. I am passionate about engineering and learning new skills, and I aim to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the transport sector.
