Delivered a £1.4m Capex budget project with 400 cranes affected and 3000 people trained. This system won the CEO safety award in 2015.• Risk Assessment system – led the team developing a new Risk Assessment system, implementation effected over 3000 people and led to the creation of 6000 new risk assessments.• Management of Change – management of the team developing a replacement MoC system. Developed tools and training packages to facilitate piloting and deployment across the business, implementation starting in 2019.• Business Organisation change – developed and owned the process for carrying out major organisation change. Involved the closure of plants and reduction of personnel. Ensuring that key risks and hazards were identified and that adequate controls were in place.• Ownership of the business standards and compliance governance – driving improvements and implementation across the business.

Management of the Process Safety/COMAH responsibilities for the all of the mills in the Long Products Hub.Produced the Process Safety Cockpit, highlighting the KPIs required by Plant Management to control their process safety work.Co-ordinated the update of the COMAH reports for a number of plants on the Scunthorpe Establishment (SPM, MSM and SRM).Member of the review team for the DSEAR, SIL assessments for the Scunthorpe Mills. Expert in the Management of Change within the mills area.Co-ordination of Engineering and H&S standards development and implementation across the mills area.Co-ordination of in Capital, Environmental plans for the mills area. Ownership of the Slab, Reheaters and Normaliser areas of the SPM. The role also had the ownership of COMAH and Environmental for the SPM.Day-to-day responsibility for the slab preparation area, with a team of 50 people on shifts. Managing the process to achieve slab precision, reheating the steel at the cheapest Gj/T, and also the normalising of the products to the required commercial priorities.
