After 27 years, I have ended my teaching career at Macalester College. Though I am finished with full-time teaching, I won’t be leaving the academy anytime soon. I am working on two more books with Naeem Inayatullah, one on Marx and the labor theory of value and the second an attempt to do an international relations textbook. I also plod forward on a project on the history of political economic thought as a moral economy of suffering – as a theodicy. I will continue to serve on the editorial team of the Routledge book series, Worlding Beyond the West, cultivating a more diverse, global, and critically self-reflective international relations discipline. Finally, I am looking around for opportunities to be in residence (and perhaps do some short-term teaching), learning from and working with interesting people across the globe. I have been blessed with many such opportunities in the past and they have been a joy.
