After 10 years in education and almost 30 years as a commercial cut flower grower we sold our business in 2020. In business my key focus was is the development and implementation of sustainable business practices, operational procedures and staff training systems to allow our Company to operate effectively and profitably without direct input from myself on a daily or weekly basis. Today I contract exclusively to Onings Flower Bulbs based in the Netherlands as a technical and business improvement advisor to their New Zealand and Australian clients.In my spare time I helped to establish and run Urban Miners, a not for profit social enterprise with over 120 volunteers that specialises in e-waste recycling and diversion from landfill.I am also a New Zealand Justice of the Peace.
