My name is Dr. David Bligh.I have 35 years' experience in research, including food science, soil science, plant nutrition, analytical chemistry and biochemistry.I have maintained and repaired scientific equipment, including elemental analyzers, gas chromatographs, inductively-coupled argon plasma spectrometers, high-performance liquid chromatographs, to name a few.I have twelve+ years’ experience teaching at the college level in biological and physical sciences. I've taught courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Kinesiology, Introductory and General Chemistry, General Physics, Physical Science Survey, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry.Yes; I know. I must be very old.My experience is that research was fun. But, teaching is more fun and satisfying. Most researchers only talk to other researchers who are active in their field. That can lead to extreme boredom, if you're lucky, or tunnel vision, if you are not careful. It is only in the classroom, where I've learned what is truly important to me--and to my students.D. Bligh
