I have been roughly in the field of counseling for over Twenty years. I have a strong passion and talent on my abilities to connect with just about anyone who is struggling with an addiction. I love to do groups with a variety of different topics, from life skills to coping skills and family dynamics. I work from the inside out. Another words I don't focus on the outer man but the inner man. My years of experience has taught me that it is an inside job. I am well versed with the 12 step concept. I believe the group is a powerful tool and has a greater impact on the individual as opposed to individual counseling. the groups can have a profound effect on the recovering addict. At first the group seems intimidating but as soon as the individual begins to open up, the group takes on a whole new meaning to the individual. When you are able to engage an individual who at first was completely against the whole idea of recovery and was shut down into a person who wants to live, and maybe for the very fist time, you have connected.
