I managed a staff of thirteen full-time QA employees, sanitation crew and numerous vendors. • Managed all the company’s audit programs and served as the company representative for all audits with: British Retail Consortium (BRC), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM), Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) Seafood Processing Standard, USDA – AMS (Agricultural Marketing Services), USDA – FSIS (Food Safety and Inspection Services, FDA shellfish, USDC -SIMP (Seafood Import Monitoring Program) and USDC quarterly audits. These audits do not include various proprietary customer audits conducted. • Achieved a score of “AA” for Channel Fish’s BRC audit. • Oversaw the process of Channel Fish Processing attaining approval to co-pack for numerous national brands.• Approved all labels and printed materials for regulatory information including ingredient statement, nutritional panels, allergens and nutritional claims. This also includes the approval of Child Nutrition (CN) labels used in government bid contracts. • Created and implemented an allergen control program used in fresh and value-added production. • Created and managed CFP’s Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) for Importers that worked with suppliers from China, Russia, Vietnam, India, Iceland, Poland and Canada.
