• Oversaw the daily operations and overall management of the Quality Assurance department for Channel Fish Processing Co., Inc (CFP). CFP operated in a 70,000 sq. ft. production facility with two fresh and three value added processing lines conducted on two production shifts and one sanitation shift five days a week. I managed a staff of thirteen full-time QA employees, sanitation crew and numerous vendors. • Managed all the company’s audit programs and served as the company representative for all audits with: British Retail Consortium (BRC), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM), Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) Seafood Processing Standard, USDA – AMS (Agricultural Marketing Services), USDA – FSIS (Food Safety and Inspection Services, FDA shellfish, USDC -SIMP (Seafood Import Monitoring Program) and USDC quarterly audits. These audits do not include various proprietary customer audits conducted. • Achieved a score of “AA” for Channel Fish’s BRC audit. • Oversaw the process of Channel Fish Processing attaining approval to co-pack for numerous national brands.• Approved all labels and printed materials for regulatory information including ingredient statement, nutritional panels, allergens and nutritional claims. This also includes the approval of Child Nutrition (CN) labels used in government bid contracts. • Created and implemented an allergen control program used in fresh and value-added production. • Created and managed CFP’s Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) for Importers that worked with suppliers from China, Russia, Vietnam, India, Iceland, Poland and Canada.

• Organize and manage the daily logistics and production of two fresh seafood processing lines to expedite the shipping fresh seafood to wholesale, retail and restaurant customers.• Reconcile whole fish and fillet inventories for daily production reports.• Managed the daily release of raw materials from outside storage to ensure production needs were met. • Calculate daily production work orders to verify yields, inventories, and costing is correct. • Evaluate daily sales and inventories to ensure customer's orders are filled. • Coordinate the consolidation and logistics of 70-100 orders of fresh seafood shipping daily.• Negotiate pricing and manage inventory for whole fish, raw materials, packaging and ingredients used in fresh seafood production. • Manage accounts for over 50 fresh/frozen seafood customers, with sales of over $4 million per year.• Created, implemented, and managed programs, risk assessments and all paperwork for documentation for Channel Fish's British Retail Consortium (BRC) Audit program. CFP became the first seafood company in Boston to attain BRC certification in 2013. • Created, implemented, and managed programs, risk assessments and all paperwork for documentation for Channel Fish's Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) in 2009, Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM) in 2016 and Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) Seafood Processing Standard in 2018.• Supervise Quality Assurance staff in the maintenance of the HACCP program and third-party audit programs.

• Created, implemented and managed Channel Fish's HACCP plan, saving the company over $200,000 per year. • Supervised the production of all USDC shielded products (Grade A, PUFI) to verify USDC specifications were met.• Conducted daily pre-operative sanitation inspections, HACCP Critical Control Point monitoring, finished product QA scoresheets.• Managed all USDC quarterly audits, and YUM! Brands bi-annual audits conducted at Channel Fish.• Reduced Yum! Brand QSA and FSA to an annual basis by scoring over 95% on consecutive audits. • Updated labels and specifications for all of Channel Fish's USDC shielded products.• Authored the SSOPs, Good Manufacturing Practices training, Sanitation training, and HACCP training programs for annual employee training and new hire training. • Developed and maintained monthly microbiological testing program that monitors sanitation levels throughout the plant.
