Mr. Blye has more than 40 years of diversifiedexperience in the field of environmental chemistry;his experience includes field data collection andenvironmental sampling and the planning,development, and execution of field sampling andanalytical projects. He specializes in theinterpretation of organic and inorganic analysis dataand the development of field procedures for thecollection of representative groundwater, surfacewater, soil, air, and multi-media samples. He hasgenerated site-specific sampling plans for more than200 sites, including Quality Assurance Project Plans(QAPjPs) for more than 47 state or federallysupervised CERCLA, RCRA, and DOD sites.Mr. Blye has extensive experience in US EPAorganic and inorganic analytical methodology andanalytical data validation. He has validated dataanalyzed according to 40 CFR Part 136 requirements(100-600 series), drinking water regulations(500 series), RCRA requirements (SW-846), andCERCLA/SARA requirements (Contract LaboratoryProgram [CLP] Statements of Work [SOWs]) and hasoverseen the validation efforts of more than300 projects. Mr. Blye also has extensive experience in auditinglaboratory facilities to evaluate compliance withanalytical protocols and QAPjPs and to determinecapabilities. He has audited more than400 laboratories, 15 of which were participants in theCLP. He has also audited several laboratories inCanada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Puerto Rico.He is familiar with data management procedures forstoring, retrieving, and reporting field and analyticaldata. He has worked closely with several laboratoriesto identify specifications for electronic delivery ofanalysis results to facilitate database management.
