David Blyth – Property DirectorAmbassador Theatre GroupOver the past thirty years, David has been involved in theatre and arts entertainment management in both the commercial and subsidised sectors. Between 1983 and 1987, he gained experience in a managerial capacity with two major West End theatre owners - Maybox Group and Stoll Moss Theatres. In the latter part of 1987, he joined the management team of the local authority run Fairfield Hall Arts Complex in Croydon and over the next five years was Head of Operations. He joined The Ambassadors Woking as General Manager in 1992 and became Head of Operations for the Company in March 1997, while retaining the role of Chief Executive of the Ambassadors Woking. In February 2000, he joined the board of ATG as Operations Director. David relinquished his role as Chief Executive of Woking in September 2006 to concentrate on his expanded position of Operations and Buildings Development Director. In March 20011 David was appointed into a new senior role as Property Director, this is an Executive Board appointment and David will head up the Property, Health & Safety and Environmental Teams. As Property Director, David will be responsible for Group’s portfolio of 39 venues, Including Foxwoods theatre Broadway New York. His remit will cover responsibility for all capital expenditure, licensing, utilities and insurance of all buildings. A major part of his role will include important responsibilities for Health & Safety, and the roll-out of greener working practices as ATG endeavours to become a more environmentally sustainable business.I retired from ATG in May 2015.I now live between London and Suffolk.I am the Chairman of the Marina Theatre Trust Lowestoft.
