- Establish baseline behavior for security related environment; Analyze individuals behavior within the environment, determine deviation from established baseline and assign appropriate threat level, based on behaviors.
- Review travel documents to determine potential fraud and deception.
- Conduct a casual conversation with individuals who have been classified, based on behavior, as a potential threat to aviation security and identify signs of deception in statements.
- Read and interpreted data derived from NCIC, TIDES, TECS, and NLETS in order to identify potential threats to aviation security. Trained others in reading and interpreting data from these databases.
- Work directly with Massachusetts State Police and or Customs in determining next course of action when dealing with a passenger who posses a threat to aviation security.
- Participate in joint law enforcement or other types of intra- and inter-agency exercises, training assignments, etc., and assess behaviors and movements of individuals at airports/transportation terminals.
