I am a fast paced learner who thrives in a challenging environment. I enjoy working with others, leading a team and getting my hands dirty. I have completed numerous qualifications within the Navy and am hoping to utilize them in the civilian sector. I have been in the NAVY for over 13 years. Currently, a Chief Machinist Mate (Nuclear) and am stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt where I am responsible for all maintenance, operations, and training on reactor support systems and auxiliary equipment for 35 Sailors. I have served onboard the USS John C Stennis for 5 years out of Bremerton, WA and 3 years as a staff instructor and NPTU Ballston, Spa prior to reporting to my current station. My current separation date is JUL 2024. During my time in the Navy, I have held the positions of Carbon Steel Program Manager, Work Center Supervisor, and Repair Parts Coordinator. The qualifications I have achieved in the Navy are Engineering Watch Supervisor, Engineering Duty Petty Officer, Quality Assurance Supervisor (to include all preceding QA qualifications), Master Training Specialist Mentor, and CPR instructor. I have also completed my apprenticeship for Maintenance Mechanic (any industry) and Hydroelectric plant mechanic. I have also completed my Bachelors in Science and Nuclear Engineering Technologies from Excelsior College. I would like to work for a company located towards the west coast limited to California, Arizona, or Nevada. I am also open to opportunities in upstate New York, Saratoga area, as we already have a property there. My hobbies include metalworking and fabrication. I enjoy building bumpers and roll cages for off-road vehicles. I am entirely self-taught with cutting, bending and welding tubing.
