Responsible for a team of DevOps engineers, steering the technical direction of proprietary automation tooling, built in .NET Core, Powershell, C# and Docker. This automation (internally named Genesis) uses public APIs to provision project-supporting infrastructure within GitLab, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Jira, TestRail, Confluence.Tasked with delivering automated testing to the business, David architected a proprietary testing framework using a combination of SpecFlow, Selenium Webdriver, and Yeoman. By facilitating entirely automated smoke tests of key functionality, this allows production deployments within minutes of a code change. Ultimate ownership of all internal CI/CD infrastructure, which was migrated from bare-metal to Docker based, VMware architecture.
