Since joining Barratt in 2001, David Bond has worked his way up to technical director level and was responsible for the design and implementation of one of the UK’s biggest zero-carbon housing schemes at Hanham Hall near Bristol. This has resulted in drafting and implementing one of the first allowable solutions mechanisms, in conjuction with South Gloucestershire Council, the Zero Carbon Hub and the HCA. Building on from his 20 years within the construction industry, the everchanging requirements of the house building industry has led to a need to fully embrace the zero carbon agenda, and work through practical and deliverable cost effective solutions to providing residential development schemes.
