I founded Angle and led it as president, until returning to Avant in August of 2013. We developed EARL, an iOS App that enabled the sight impaired to access digital content through voice commands and built on innovative speech recognition and text to speech technologies. I was inspired to build Earl to help my father in law Earl Barlow, an educator and avid reader who lost his sight to Macular Degeneration. He dearly missed reading newspapers and magazines and asked me if there wasn't some technology that could allow him to easily access them. Through my work at Avant I was aware of the power of speech recognition technology and formed a team of experts to build EARL. I was one of the team members that developed the concepts for our patented technology for on-the-fly parsing of digital content by mobile devices.

A provider of pricing and company data on US listed companies online to Japanese securities firms and individual investors. As COO and one of the founders of this Silicon Valley startup, I teamed with the president in raising over $2 million in venture capital and angel funding. I negotiated all content and partnership agreements and managed legal, personnel and general affairs.

I led sales and marketing to East Asia from Hong Kong before moving to Tokyo where I established and led the Tokyo office as Managing Director for the premier international investigative and crisis management consulting firm, building a profitable nation-wide operation and managing investigations into internal frauds, extortions and corporate M&A activities. I started in the San Francisco office where I led sales to Japanese clients around the world, building a new business segment for the company. After Tokyo, I transferred back to New York headquarters I continued to work with Japanese clients and led the implementation of a new company-wide customized CRM system. In 1997 I transferred to Santa Clara to lead the Silicon Valley office.
