As a PGA pro I’m responsible for delivering the store’s custom fitting program, ensuring all custom fitting staff are trained and confident in custom fitting. As the main fitter for the store I perform the majority of the custom fit bookings each week and I’m responsible for ensuring the store hits our custom targets. I’m also responsible for arranging and planning any fitting days held by the brands. As Assistant Store Manager I’m responsible for the day to day running of the store and assisting the store manager with tasks. These would include store promotion setup, regular stock checks, till checks and refund audits and staff rotas.

I'm responsible for the day to day operation of the golf club, including managing the retail business, ensuring the green fees are taken and the tee sheet information is up to date. I’m responsible for planning any events we host, such as charity days, members competitions and corporate events. I'm also responsible for managing the rentals side of the operation, including buggies, trolleys (electric and manual) and hire clubs. My final main area of responsibility is the Driving Range, here I'm responsible for ensuring the range is cleared and ball dispenser is kept full.To do this I manage a team of 6 people, including 3 Golf professionals and 2 marshalls. I'm responsible for ensuring all rota's are correct for submitting to payroll and I conduct all appraisals for my team. And finally I assist my Director of Golf with whatever projects we have going at the time including preparing costs and sales forecasts for the budgeting process, longer term sales plans for the shop and business plans for new additions, such as covering the driving range or adding a golf simulator.

After a spell in the workshop I moved up to the custom fit admin team, here I am responsible for inputting the orders from our accounts ensuring all orders go out correctly and within the quoted lead time.Our team is also responsible for all the repairs that come back to us and I still help out in the workshop when it's required, either because of large number of orders or for urgent orders that need to go out as soon as possible.

After being responsible for the equipment repairs at Topgolf I came to Srixon to be a custom club builder. Here I'm responsible for building the custom orders to the required specification, ensuring they are within the permitted tolerances and that they have been ordered in a playable specification.

In this role I was primarily responsible for my self employed coaching and building my own client base. I also was tasked with ensuring all 3 Topgolf sites in the UK could carry out their own repairs. To do this I did the Golfsmith training course and I was lucky enough to go to Austin, Tx to do this. I then set up workshops at all 3 sites and ensured all the PGA associates were trained to carry out the required repairs. I also remained part of the management team as a Duty Manager running a minimum of 1 shift a week.

I started at TopGolf as a Duty Manager for golf services and was soon moved up to Golf Services Manager. I was responsible for running the main reception team and had a team of between 15 and 25 people reporting to me. The team was responsible for handling all areas of the Topgolf game from sales and memberships to basic technical support. While in my role as Golf Services Manager my department saw record revenues achieving £1.3m and increasing our contribution to profit by 11% in the same time period. I was also part of the team responsible for recruitment for the centre and when they introduced a new staff training program I was part of the initial team of trainers for this program. During this time I also got myself in a position to start my PGA training and I began coaching around my management role.

I was responsible for all golf coaching in schools. Along with beginner adult and junior sessions at both Lee Valley golf centres. I mainly worked with the Golf Foundation to run the Golf Roots program in East London. Which comprised of running Tri Golf and Golf Xtreme coaching in schools mainly around the boroughs of Waltham Forest, Hackney, and Newham. But I also worked across Westminster, Haringey and Enfield. I was also responsible for running the Tri Golf festival back at the centre in Leyton 4 years running, each one with around 80-100 children. Also during my time with Lee Valley I took on a duty managers role, combined with my golf development work, where I was responsible for opening and closing the centre and looking after the small golf shop we had on site. As part of the management team I was part of the team that achieved a Quest accreditation for the centre and I also got the centre Rangemark accredited from England Golf before I finished.
