I am a founding Managing Director of a small Community Interest Company working to sustain the Olympic 2012 volunteer legacy in Coventry, my work has been used as a best practice model in Tokyo where I was invited to deliver international welcome workshops.I have been involved in community and sport development from a young age, inspired by many volunteers that helped me as a young athlete, including my parents as volunteers that led to me volunteering in sport from the age of 14 onwards, I still hold my Level 2 Coaching Certificate.READY TO TALK? Athletics Development OfficerEngland Athletics Feb 2006 - Jan 2009As a National Governing Body Officer for Athletics my main duties surrounded club, coach and official development supporting and working directly with clubs and volunteers. Covering the areas of Birmingham, Coventry Solihull and Warwickshire I managed and supported many volunteer led competitions, coaching schemes and clubs at community and elite level. These include summer schemes, coach education courses, County Performance Squads, Clubmark accreditations and Youth Games. To implement the England Athletics Birmingham, Coventry Solihull & Warwickshire Strategic Delivery Plan I formed & coordinated a County Athletics Development Forum with active members from a wide range of voluntary club and professional partners who took ownership of the County Plan, working together to meet its objectives. -
