Responsibility and management of heritage listed trees contained within parks, gardens and road reserve in a world leading local government arboricultural service. Undertaking these duties in the premier region of the Brisbane City Council area including the trees in located in the suburbs of the CBD, New Farm, Kangaroo Point, South Brisbane and West End provided invaluable experience. Providing the highest level of technical arboricultural practise whilst meeting development design and customer expectations in a political environment is very challenging and predominantly required. Due to the limitations of working within a heavily developed and continually expanding world class city means that a solutions focused, ingenuitive approach is critical as much as is an exceptional ability to negotiate with a team of diverse professionals. Employing a project focused mentality to design, implement and deliver large tree maintenance program's in considering best practise arboricultural outcomes based on tree species requirements. This included providing tree healthcare solutions to promote the health of some of the city's largest and most valuable green assets and extend their useful life expectancy.
