Treasury:• Development of policies and procedures for cash management, forecasting, investments, credit facilities, and general Treasury. • Design and maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley compliant internal controls for Treasury processes and provide audit support as required.• Implementation of credit facilities: Executing draws, rollovers and repayments to ensure adequate working capital and to reduce borrowing costs when possible.• Ensure compliance and reporting requirements are fulfilled as per required timelines on multiple credit facilities.• Managing relationships and communications with numerous financial institutions.• Monitoring corporate credit ratings and managing relationships and communications with credit rating agencies.• Supervision of Treasury, Accounts Payable and disbursement processes.• Managed funds flow of complex transactions (asset sales, financings, re-financings, equity offerings and foreign exchange settlements).• Directed Treasury requirements under Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (C.C.A.A.), while company’s (OPTI Canada Inc.) restructuring efforts were conducted, prior to its sale to CNOOC.Insurance:• Work with broker and joint venture partner in the renewal of the company’s Project Insurance Program, establishing a combined ~$1.8B of Property and Business Interruption coverage.• Renewal and maintenance of General Liability Insurance Program based on corporate requirements.• Establish Directors’ & Officers’ Liability Insurance Program based on evaluation of individuals’ needs and corporate outlook, including high risk events such as company restructuring /sale. Corporate Oversight:• Present financial resources overview and outlook to Senior Management.• Contribute and review key external (Financial Statements, M.D. & A., A.I.F.) and internal (Audit Committee, Management, B.O.D. presentations) documentation.• Ensure Treasury Controls and Policies are correctly implemented through ERP system conversions.
