Slow down there... Not Adult fun. Grown-up fun. I love creating the thing that sits alongside and elevates to new heights, the good time's, celebrations and memorable moments that life has to offer. Everything in the creation of wine is dynamic and rarely to be repeated. I love the sense of adventure. Every day, every year and every wine is different. To get that feeling and seek that adventure I've found myself as a wine business owner, winemaker, wine industry consultant, public speaker and entrepreneur. From a tertiary degree in Oenology (2002) I have spent the last two decades building a wide range of experience in various sectors of the wine industry. Vinteloper, established in 2008, is an artisan wine grower based in the Adelaide Hills, SA. We have 10ha of vineyard on our own 30ha property just outside Lobethal, which is supplemented by select grower vineyards around the Adelaide Hills. Through our fiercely independent approach, willingness to say yes when other say no and very personal touch, Vinteloper has grown from 200 dozen production in 2008 to current production of 6000-7000 dozen annually.

Evaluate pre-deleivery juice and wine samples as necessary with reference to OWG group winemaker assessment. Manage bulk wine movements between contract processing sites and OWG Rowland Flat.

Vineyard inspection and assessment, harvest, crusher and press operations, fermentation management and so on. Of greater significance was the time spent learning detail of the traditions and philosophies of wine production in Bourgogne and the appellations.

Contract WinemakerMcguigan Simeon Wines, Australian Vintage Jan 2003 - Jul 2003Loxton, SaI was part of a team of 4 contract winemakers employed to manage the production of 75,000 tonnes of grapes over the vintage period. Responsibilities included: - Fruit intake quality inspection.- Wine production process management.- Fermentation management- Yeast propagation management. Additional skills important to this role included people management. In a high pressure process driven environment the ability to effectively manage more than 75 cellar hands to complete tasks in a timely fashion in order to ensure the production line runs at optimum efficiency.Furthermore, I was able to gain a working understanding of Ezy-Wine winery management software for winemaking and winery accounting.
